Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Analyst to join their team in Oakland, California! This person will be an integral part of the evolution of their Strategic Sourcing team. This role will primarily be supporting all types of contract purchases.
Duties:
- Support contract negotiations for new and existing suppliers partnering with Legal team and the requesting business partners
- Review and negotiate contracts with vendors
- Specific project tasks may include market research and analysis, data collection/management, cost modeling, supplier communications, negotiations, and contracting
- Assist in the execution of spend management projects that accomplish key objectives such as savings, process efficiency, supplier consolidation and management, risk reduction and management, improved transparency and control of expenditures
- Collaborate as needed with each and every person in the organization in a personable, approachable manner
- Support internal customers by facilitating accurate and favorable transactions, and on-going supplier management and accountability
- Collaborate to build best spend management practices and technology trends
- Effectively communicate the impact of sourcing decisions to Business Partners and leadership as appropriate and proactively enlist their support
- Communicate with Business Partners, coworkers, and management in a clear, concise and timely manner
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1+ year(s) related experience
- Proficiency in Google Suite
- Experience in managing budgets and financial planning
- Strong ability to negotiate contracts
- Expertise in supplier management and vendor relations
- Skilled in conducting contract negotiations and ensuring favorable terms
