Overview:
Intelletec Energy are hiring for an experienced Project Manager/ Project Executive to oversee and direct project management activities for our utility solar and energy storage projects in the North East. The company is a lean and successful developer and operator of utility scale solar and storage projects. We do require the successful candidate to have energy storage experience.
This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in interconnection, contracting, and permitting for large-scale projects that include substations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex projects from inception to completion and will excel in coordinating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. This position primarily involves office-based work, with occasional travel to project sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the project management team in the planning, execution, and delivery of utility solar and energy storage projects.
- Oversee all aspects of project development, including interconnection processes, contracting, and permitting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including utility companies, government agencies, and subcontractors, to facilitate project approvals and resolve issues.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential project risks.
- Monitor project progress, prepare and present project reports, and provide updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between project teams and other departments, maintaining alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Conduct site visits to assess project status, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management process to enhance efficiency and project outcomes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
- 8-10 years of experience in project management within the utility solar and energy storage sector, with a strong focus on interconnection, contracting, and permitting.
- Proven experience managing large-scale projects that include substations, with a thorough understanding of the associated technical, regulatory, and operational requirements.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive project success.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
