Senior IT Specialist
Overview
The Senior IT Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the daily IT operations, troubleshooting issues, managing IT inventory, and leading process and security improvement projects. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, a solid work ethic, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute IT strategies from the US office and report progress.
- Provide first and second-level technical support, including hardware, network, and software.
- Manage and maintain server systems (VMware, Windows Server, Hyper-V, SQL) and network services.
- Configure firewalls and perform network modifications (switches, routers, firewalls).
- Monitor network performance and provide improvement recommendations.
- Offer standby support and participate in after-hours calls as needed.
- Perform IT administrative tasks and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications: Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a desire to advance in sysadmin and network admin roles.
- In-depth understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and tech products.
- Capable of independently assessing issues, making decisions, and communicating effectively.
- Technical expertise in Microsoft tools (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Office, etc.), Hyper-V, Windows Server, SQL, with a preference for Cisco and Palo Alto firewall knowledge. Linux and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) are a plus
