The Manager of Operational Technology reports directly to the Associate Vice President - Residential and is responsible for the day-to-day management and optimization of the U.S. Residential teams operational technology solutions, with a primary focus on our Entrata platform. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the property management industry and demonstrate a strong understanding of Entrata solutions. This role is critical in driving operational efficiency and ensuring our technology systems support our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Entrata Platform Management
- Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the Entrata platform.
- Ensure the Entrata system is configured to meet the company’s operational needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the Entrata platform.
Operational Technology Strategy
- Develop and execute a strategic plan for operational technology that aligns with the company’s goals.
- Identify opportunities for technology improvements and innovations within the property management operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure the company remains competitive.
- Ensure system settings and processes are following relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards is front of mind when interacting with all solutions.
- Monitoring & evaluating the performance & effectiveness of the technology systems & reporting the results & recommendations to the senior management & stakeholders.
Team Leadership and Training
- Develop a team of technology professionals, providing guidance and support.
- Conduct training sessions to ensure staff are proficient in using the Entrata platform and other operational technologies.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Project Management
- Manage technology projects from conception through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure technology initiatives support overall business objectives.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze data from the Entrata platform to provide insights and recommendations for improving operational efficiency.
- Generate regular reports on system performance and usage.
Partnership/Solutions Management
- Manage relationships with ancillary solution/technology providers.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts to ensure the company receives the best value.
Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Education
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operational technology or IT management roles, preferably within the property management industry.
- Proven experience with the Entrata platform is essential.
- Strong understanding of the property management industry and best practices.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP).
- Experience with other property management software and technologies.
- Experience with Change Management initiatives and User Adoption.
