Top Skills Required:
- Expertise in Splunk queries
- Proficiency with Postman
- Experience with proxy tools (Charles Proxy preferred but open to learning)
- IP video experience preferred
- Any video-related experience
- Automation skills are a plus but not required
Position Overview: We are seeking a QA Engineer with a strong background in software testing, particularly in video platforms. The role involves functional test reviews, test planning and design, execution of test cases/scripts, defect reporting, and test closure. You will be working primarily on an IP video platform, conducting manual testing for STVA, video delivery, and video on demand updates, ensuring the seamless functionality of video-related services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional test reviews on an IP video platform
- Design and execute test plans and scripts
- Report defects and manage test closure processes
- Perform video validations and manage regression work for front-end clients
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to divide and conquer tasks
- Engage in video delivery testing and ensure updates on packagers
Required Experience:
- Mid-level QA experience, ideally in the video space
- Professional experience with video platforms, especially streaming and video testing
- Front-end software testing experience
- Experience with testing advertising (STAR)
- Familiarity with JIRA, TestRail, and ALM Quality Center
- Knowledge of Postman for API validation (preferred but not mandatory)
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Work within an Agile team, preparing for upcoming releases
- Update and create front-end test cases
- Conduct progression and regression testing
- Perform post-release validation and bug identification
- Collaborate closely with the development team to resolve issues
- Focus exclusively on software testing tasks
