Job Title: Interim Acute Care Manager
Overview:
Rural Staffing Services is seeking a dynamic and experienced Interim Acute Care Manager to join a wonderful hospital in Montana. This role is vital in providing leadership and management to our Critical Access Hospital and Emergency Room (CAHS/ER) departments. We are looking for a dedicated professional who is passionate about rural healthcare and committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and management to the CAHS/ER department under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) and Associate Director of Nursing Services (ADNS).
- Coordinate the 24/7 operational and clinical activities of the department, ensuring smooth and efficient care delivery.
- Manage clinical personnel, including selection, orientation/training, scheduling, development/mentoring, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions.
- Foster positive relationships with physicians and work collaboratively with other departments to ensure quality patient care.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and participate in quality control and process improvement initiatives.
- Oversee case management responsibilities, including managing referrals, developing individualized care plans, and ensuring cost-effective patient outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary patient rounding and transition of care, evaluate re-admission data, and perform follow-up communication with discharged patients.
- Assist in the development and implementation of department-specific policies and procedures.
- Promote education opportunities to staff within the department utilizing evidence-based practices.
Qualifications:
- RN with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Bachelor of Arts in Nursing (BAN) required.
- Minimum of four (4) years of nursing experience in medical/surgical or specialty clinical areas preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in progressively responsible roles, with previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Healthcare Provider CPR Certification required.
- TNCC/ENPC, ACLS, and PALS Certifications, or the ability to obtain within one (1) year of hire, required.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
