The Role
We're seeking a Founding Engineer / Tech Cofounder to lead our mobile development efforts and help shape the future of our company. This is a unique opportunity to join a startup at the ground level and make a significant impact on both our product and the world.
Requirements
- Extensive experience and technical expertise in React Native development
- Proven track record of successful mobile app development
- Deep belief in the idea that "the opposition of addiction is connection"
- Visionary drive to transform digital interactions by minimizing time spent on instant-gratification content and maximizing meaningful engagement with friends
- Strong interest in non-tech subjects such as psychology, history, philosophy, and marketing
- Commitment to enhancing relationships between friends and tackling the loneliness epidemic
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with the CEO and UX designer
- Must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder (we are unable to sponsor H1B visas at this time)
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all aspects of mobile development for our iOS and Android applications
- Contribute significantly to product strategy, technical direction, and company vision
- Implement innovative features that promote meaningful connections and reduce addictive behaviors
- Ensure code quality, documentation, and best practices in mobile development
- Participate in key business decisions as a core member of the founding team
Bonus Skills
- Expertise in Node.js
- Experience with Google Cloud
- Background or strong interest in fields related to human behavior and relationships
- Experience with machine learning and its applications in user behavior analysis or personalization
