Job Title: Senior Procurement and Contract Manager
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Procurement and Contract Manager to oversee the development and management of engineering and construction procurement contracts. This role is critical to ensuring contracts are executed cost-effectively and on schedule. The successful candidate will collaborate with the supply chain team to develop procurement strategies, manage Engineering Procurement Contracts (EPC), and address any contract-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Management: Develop, manage, and oversee engineering and construction procurement contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely execution. Administer EPC Agreements, including addressing billing issues, negotiating collateral, and interpreting contract terms to ensure compliance.
- Negotiations and Solicitations: Participate in the negotiation of EPC agreements with major construction suppliers. Review solicitation documents and support the evaluation of proposals in line with the established bid process.
- Performance Monitoring: Maintain close contact with construction site personnel to monitor contract performance and identify deviations. Review and negotiate contract amendments and change orders to address unforeseen circumstances and ensure compliance.
- Training and Support: Provide training to employees at construction sites on contract management and particulars. Assist in audit strategies related to billing and contract disputes.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present management reports on contract status, performance, and analysis. Develop strategies for performance criteria and monitor progress and milestones to facilitate payments.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams and external parties to resolve contractual and technical disagreements. Support procurement activities related to material and service acquisition, and identify cost improvement opportunities.
- Database Management: Maintain contract databases and compile information for project planning, forecasting, and performance evaluation.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience managing contracts and working with contractors, integrated suppliers, and alliance partners. At least 2 years of nuclear experience is preferred. Familiarity with purchasing laws, business and contract law, and procurement principles is essential.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Skills:
Proven leadership abilities, excellent project management, and decision-making skills. Strong organizational skills with a keen ability to negotiate and analyze contracts. Proficiency in math and computer applications. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, perform complex data analysis, and communicate effectively.
Soft Skills: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills. Effective human relations and the ability to influence, persuade, and negotiate. Capable of working efficiently with employees at all levels and external personnel.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with utilities or finance in large-scale projects is advantageous.
