Job Summary:
Provide Robot, PLC, and HMI programming for machine control systems as well as field support and troubleshooting both on-site and remotely. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additional responsibilities include technical support for manufacturing, in-house build, and field support of automotive test systems.
Qualifications:
- BSE with emphasis on controls or robotics systems or demonstrate knowledge of robotic control system concepts used in the automation industry.
- 3+ years' experience is preferred.
- PLC experience: Allen Bradley is preferred.
- Understanding of industrial networking.
- Understanding of pneumatic designs.
- Robotic experience: Fanuc is preferred (CR_COBOT, CRX and DCS); Kuka, Motoman and ABB are a plus.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (30-40%)
- Ability to solve problems using electrical prints, mechanical prints, and technical. documentation.
- Ability to quickly learn new and legacy machines.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Program robots and PLC controls with minimal assistance.
- Program and troubleshoot robot systems by working with the assembly and engineering team.
- Ability to instruct Field Service Engineers in the operations and startup of machinery and robotic controls.
- Ability to instruct Field Service Engineers in the operations and startup of machinery and robots.
- Ensure effective communication with customers, project managers, and team members.
- Provide support for new and existing equipment.
- Lead machine startups and coordination of installation services.
- Ability to train other robotic engineers and control engineers.
Skills:
