The HRIS Manager is responsible for overseeing the management, development, and optimization of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to ensure effective HR operations and data management. This role involves strategic planning, system implementation, and maintenance, as well as providing leadership to the HRIS team. The HRIS Manager collaborates with HR, IT, and other departments to ensure the HRIS supports organizational goals and enhances the employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an HRIS strategy that aligns with the organization’s overall HR and business objectives.
- Oversee the administration and maintenance of the HRIS, ensuring system integrity, data accuracy, and user satisfaction.
- Lead the selection, implementation, and upgrade of HRIS systems and modules.
- Manage and mentor the HRIS team providing guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Coordinate with HR leaders and IT teams to ensure efficient HRIS operations and continuous improvement.
- Foster a collaborative environment within the team and across departments.
- Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and enhance system functionalities to improve efficiency and user experience.
- Stay current with HRIS trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, recommending system enhancements and innovations.
- Lead system configuration, customization, and integration projects to meet evolving business needs.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and analytics to support HR decision-making and strategic planning.
- Provide insights and analysis on key HR metrics and trends to HR leadership and executive management.
- Lead and manage HRIS-related projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Ensure timely and effective technical support for HRIS users, addressing issues and providing solutions.
- Oversee the development and delivery of training programs for HRIS users to enhance system utilization and efficiency.
- Maintain and update user documentation, ensuring it is comprehensive and accessible.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience with HR systems.
- At least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Prior HRIS implementation and vendor management experience
- Extensive knowledge of HRIS platforms such as Workday, Oracle, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, or similar systems.
- Strong understanding of HR processes, data management, and HRIS best practices.
- Proven experience in project management, particularly with HRIS implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- HRIS certification (e.g., Certified HRIS Professional, Workday Certified) preferred.
- Experience with advanced HR analytics and reporting tools preferred.
- Knowledge of data privacy laws and HR compliance regulations preferred.
- Proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools, and HRIS reporting capabilities preferred.
Working Conditions:
Hybrid work environment (minimum 3 days in office), with occasional remote work opportunities. May require occasional travel for conferences, training, or system implementation.
