We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in building construction to play a key role in the planning, design, and implementation of electrical systems for various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards, along with a proven track record of successful project execution.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project teams to understand electrical requirements and contribute to the development of comprehensive project plans.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather relevant information for electrical system design and implementation.
- Prepare and review electrical drawings, specifications, and calculations in compliance with local and national codes and standards.
- Design and oversee the installation of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and security systems, ensuring they meet project specifications and client expectations.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
- Provide technical support during construction, addressing and resolving any electrical issues that may arise.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Stay current with industry trends, advancements in technology, and changes in electrical codes and standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Texas required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on building construction projects.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design and drafting software.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience with Healthcare or Government projects a plus
