The Compliance Team Lead is responsible for ensuring all aspects of grant compliance are met. This role provides leadership to the Compliance Team, overseeing the processing of payment requests and driving process development and improvement. The position also involves contributing to staff training and supporting the Compliance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of all financial assistance requests.
- Conduct secondary reviews of all financial assistance requests to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Address and resolve escalated issues from Compliance Specialists.
- Monitor grant tracking to ensure adherence to spending requirements.
- Maintain grant files with up-to-date information on grant guidelines and requirements.
- Collaborate with other team leads to ensure timely processing of TFA requests and billing.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements for compliance processes.
- Serve as a backup for Grant Compliance Specialists when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Several years of supervisory experience, preferably in a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Background in accounting and/or auditing is advantageous.
- Demonstrated commitment to ending homelessness.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
