Aegis Worldwide is currently seeking a Quality Control Specialist in the Franklin Park area. Please read below and apply if interested.
As Quality Control Specialist will have a crucial role in ensuring that the company’s products meet quality standards by managing quality control procedures in line with code. This hands-on role involves conducting inspections to ensure compliance within regulations, enforcing quality standards, and identifying areas for improvement to enhance departmental performance and reduce costs.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
An associate degree or bachelor’s would be a plus but not a need.
- 5+ years of Quality experience in manufacturing environments regulated by ASME code for Pressure Vessels or similar products.
- CWI – Certified Welder Inspector accreditation or an AWS – American Welding Association relevant certification – strongly preferred.
- Experience reading, interpreting, and reviewing, engineering drawings and GD&T, understanding the application of engineering mechanical protocols and regulations, engineering calculations, and specifications,
- Experience in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment – plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Visio, etc.)
- Capable of dealing with and managing multiple tasks and responsibilities and ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Essential knowledge and/or experience with quality systems documentation.
