Technical Responsibilities:
- Duties can include traveling to various project sites on a daily basis, monitoring construction operations, and using applicable field-testing procedures and equipment to perform required field inspections and testing, as well as all related testing as required by the project and client to determine conformance with project plans and specifications.
- Preparation of daily field reports, communication of deficiencies observed in the field to project managers, contractors, and /or client representatives, and the interpretation of project – related drawings and documents.
- Possesses strong supervisory and technical skills, effective time-management skills, strong computer skills, excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret plans and specifications.
- Possesses a thorough knowledge of construction processes.
- Responsive to Client and other KSE Manager/ needs, and all other duties as assigned.
Physical Responsibilities:
Handle, inspect, and /or feel materials and/or equipment relevant to the job.
Communicate with colleagues, supervisors, and clients using company email and telephone systems.
Requirements:
- 8+ years in inspecting construction work in the city of NY, varied in size and complexity.
- Professional Engineer, New York
- Familiarity with concrete sampling and testing as per requirements of ACI 318 & section 1704.4 of the NYC building code.
- ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector
- ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector
- ICC Structural Steel and Bolting Special Inspector
- PE or RA license
- NICET Level 2
