Job Description:
As a Multifamily Construction Assistant Project Manager you will play a vital role in supporting the successful completion of our residential projects in Dallas, Texas. Working closely with the project management team, you will assist in coordinating various aspects of construction to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of construction activities to ensure adherence to project timelines and milestones.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to address technical issues and ensure project specifications are met.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety standards, and identify and resolve any construction-related issues or challenges.
- Assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project budgets.
- Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness, and coordinate revisions or changes as needed.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, submittals, and project reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Support the project management team in maintaining effective communication and relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, regulations, and best practices, promoting a culture of safety and compliance on the construction site.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Previous experience in multifamily residential construction or related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, or similar tools.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards applicable to construction projects in Texas.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to construction sites as needed.
