We are currently assisting our client with a Manufacturing Engineering Manager search near Cleveland, OH. This manager will lead and mentor a team of engineers and is responsible for supporting new product launches, existing lines, capital equipment projects, plant metrics management, and ensuring continuous improvement throughout the site. A qualified candidate will have extensive experience in creating long-term performance strategy, developing the skills of a team of engineers, and can thrive in a high-pressure environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the engineering team to develop best practices in identifying, troubleshooting and resolving all types of process/production issues
- Develop methods, processes, and procedures that will improve processes, eliminate failures and reduce manufacturing costs
- Determine long-term company objectives in terms of production metrics and action plans to achieve those strategic goals
- Work in conjunction with other departments including operations, marketing, and product development to ensure company needs are being met
- Lead efforts in testing, installing, and commissioning manufacturing assembly lines for new products
- Oversee team members while still contributing to continuous improvement at the site
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Engineering discipline preferred
- 5+ years' progressive experience with in-depth knowledge of Lean manufacturing, technology, and processes
