Currently, we are seeking a Junior Accountant with a minimum of one - two years' experience to join our accounting team, who reports to the Controller. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, organized, and accurate. Ensures all entries with 10-key by touch into accounting software and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. The ability to handle sensitive, and confidential information, and able to work both independently, and as part of a team. A solid understanding of accounting (GAAP), financial reporting principles, and practices is essential for this role. This is an in-office position with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities:
· Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with GAAP
· Prepare financial statements and reports
· Collaborate with team to improve accounting processes and procedures
· Work with Order Management and eCommerce systems to ensure accurate financial data
· Manage inventory systems and reconcile discrepancies
· Prepare and file State sales tax reports
· Perform payroll reconciliation and ensure accurate reporting
· Reconcile merchant credit card transactions and resolve discrepancies
· Assist with other accounting tasks as needed
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
· Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping/data entry
· Knowledge of accounting software: QuickBooks, Sage 100, Oracle
· Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite, and advance knowledge in Excel (pivot, formulas, and reporting)
· Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles and practices
· Experience with Order Management and eCommerce systems
· Knowledge of inventory systems and State sales tax reporting
· Proficient in payroll reconciliation and merchant credit card reconciliation
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Pay/Benefits:
