Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
Provides guidance in identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining an efficient and effective clinical information system. Supports the organization's overall clinical initiatives by applying an excellent understanding of clinical processes and supporting information technologies to optimize all health information systems. Serves as a liaison between providers, clinicians, IT, business office, and management. As an advisor, helps shape and define current and future clinical information system improvements through daily interaction with individual teams both clinical and non-clinical. Participates in strategic vision and planning. Provides continued customer support inclusive of supporting interactive education to enhance system and application comprehension. Facilitates the organization's vision and strategy for clinical transformation. Actively engages in managing system and practice changes.
Essential Position Description and Responsibilities
Assists in the implementation of new health information management software products obtained by the facility.
Coordinates and monitors the analysis, design, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of all clinical informatics applications.
Assures systems development and maintenance provides efficient workflow and processing for end users.
Develops and coordinates communication about future EHR changes, upgrades, and downtimes to end users.
Designs and delivers targeted training and remediation as necessary and evaluates effectiveness of interventions.
Coach, mentor, and provide one on one at the elbow support to all users.
Will work with Director of Nursing - Clinical Operations and other facility leadership to further develop and refine informatics strategies and vision that will improve clinical outcomes, streamlining and optimizing clinical systems workflows, and decreasing operational costs.
Facilitate communication and act as an advocate and change agent across all levels of the organization to promote the adoption of new processes and technologies.
Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to clinical information systems.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
License or Certification:
Current Idaho license to practice as registered nurse.
Total Education, Vocational Training, and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, or related field required.
Min: USD $30.00/Hr. Max: USD $50.00/Hr.
