A client/employer of Insight Global is searching for a Machinist to join their operations team. This person will report onsite 5 days per week and will be responsible for manufacturing components of machinery to standards.
Other responsibilities may include:
-Perform tasks in alignment with technical schematics
-Collaborate with engineering department to resolve issues dealing with machine parts
-Utilize a manual lathe to adjust unfinished components to conform to the specified length and diameter
-Regularly clean and oil machinery to ensure ongoing maintenance
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-Read and understand schematics and blueprints
-Ability to use a lathe and milling equipment to modify machinery parts along with measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gages
-2-4 years experience in a manufacturing environment
-High school diploma
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-Machinist certification
-Knowledge of GMP
-Bachelors degree
