Princeton Tool, a Princeton Precision Group company is actively seeking an experienced and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join and grow in the PPG organization. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the continuous operation and optimal performance of all production, tooling, development, inspection, and facilities machines and equipment. Primary duties will include conducting routine inspections, identifying, and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and performing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks. The Maintenance Technician will collaborate closely with department supervisors to minimize downtime, schedule repairs, and increase equipment efficiency. In addition, they will maintain accurate maintenance records as needed, and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures. Requirements:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks on, but not limited to: EDM, CNC, Lathes, Manual Mills, Surface Grinders, Snag Grinders, Water Jets, and Air Handlers
- Identify, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and/or schedule a repair to minimize downtime on machines and equipment
- Prioritize tasks and respond promptly to emergency or critical maintenance tasks
- Maintain a safe and clean work area
- Perform general electrical work on facilities and equipment
- Repair/replace broken, faulty, or leaking plumbing
- Assist in the installation or removal of new and used equipment
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to extend the lifespan of the machines
- Identify safety concerns and inform the Facilities Manager
- Assist with facilities projects or improvements
- Operate forklift and scissor lift to complete maintenance tasks (after completion of forklift safety training)
- Modify and fabricate parts by use of welding, cutting, grinding, milling, and lathe work
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a production environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to work with various hand and power tools to perform repairs and maintenance tasks
- Must be proficient in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues
- Must be able to climb, bend, lay, kneel, stand for extended periods of time, and work from ladders or lifts
- Lift up to 75 lbs. as required. Most parts/materials can be handled using other methods
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently as well as with a team
- Degree, technical certification, or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferred
