Position Overview:
This is a rewarding role that will provide exciting opportunities to work with our high profile customer base. We are seeking an experienced Lead Applications Engineer to work with our existing team based in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will use your experience in engineering solutions coupled with your customer focused aptitude and excellent communication skills to design and implement material handling solutions that meet our customers' needs. In addition, you will complete customer site evaluations and demonstrations of our extensive product range.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the customer and the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide technical consultation.
- Visit customer sites to undertake a full site evaluation of the environment, the risks and identifying customized solutions.
- Implement and install solutions whilst ensuring full product functionality.
- Prepare technical reports.
- Support design engineering to customize product designs based on customer requirements.
Qualifications:
- Training and/or education in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in an applications engineering role, preferably within the AGV material handling or industrial equipment industry.
- Experience in AGV technology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in providing exceptional customer service.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
