Job Description:
This is a 6-12 month contract position.
Position Responsibilities - Where you will make an impact.
• Respond to end-users' requests for creation of new report or modification of existing reports.
• Train and support end-user community in the use of enterprise reporting software features and functionality.
• Support enterprise reporting system and database upgrades by participating in testing and troubleshooting processes.
• Monitor nightly extraction, load, and transformation jobs from production to reporting systems.
• Seek support from database administrator to troubleshoot with these jobs.
• Assist with organizing code and report library.
• Work with enterprise applications team to develop integration packages using Ellucian data connect or Ethos.
Qualifications - What you will bring.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or any other quantitative discipline will be considered.
• 3-5 years of experience developing SQL scripts.
• Some experience using enterprise reporting tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills working with stakeholders with ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.
• Experience working in an environment supporting multiple departments, gathering requirements to modify existing reports or create new reports meeting the stake holders specifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a higher education environment.
Experience with Ellucian Colleague.
Experience with PostgreSQL
