Position: Electrical Engineer
Location: Hybrid - Westlake Village, California
Salary Range: $125,000 – $165,000
Our client in Westlake Village, CA is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a hybrid role (in-office Tues, Wed, & Thu). The successful candidate will lead electrical engineering efforts in developing innovative products for the consumer and healthcare markets, collaborating with external contractors, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Design
- Oversee electrical sub-systems and drive product development with minimal supervision.
- Lead electronics architecture and coordinate with test and firmware teams.
- Recommend and select electronic components, including processors, microcontrollers, and sensors.
- Perform detailed lab work to test circuits and systems.
Product Development & Collaboration
- Address UX and manufacturing challenges with the product team.
- Contribute to project scheduling and ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
- Deliver innovative engineering solutions while maintaining confidentiality.
- Build and maintain relationships with manufacturing partners and suppliers.
Cost Management & Innovation
- Evaluate and reduce product eBOM costs; suggest alternative solutions.
- Develop and test creative solutions that align with company objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 4-8 years of experience in electrical engineering design and mass production.
- Proficiency in Altium or similar PCB design tools and understanding of PCB fabrication.
- Knowledge of signal integrity, power delivery, and thermal design constraints.
- Hands-on experience with concepting, prototyping, and testing.
- Familiarity with electronics certifications and processes.
- Expert in Microsoft tools (Teams, Excel, Visio, Project, Word).
- Ability to travel overseas approximately 10% of the time.
