We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise for expansion and sustaining projects, serving as the primary fire protection point of contact.
This role involves developing fire protection scopes of work, assisting with cost estimates, reviewing design documents, attending meetings, and addressing technical inquiries. The Fire Protection Engineer will also support day-to-day fire protection inquiries, facility fire risk analysis, policy creation, and training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Support: Serve as the primary fire protection point of contact for expansion and sustaining project teams.
- Scope Development: Develop fire protection scopes of work for various projects.
- Cost Estimation: Assist with the preparation of cost estimates related to fire protection systems and components.
- Design Review: Review design documents to ensure compliance with fire protection standards and regulations.
- Technical Inquiries: Address day-to-day fire protection inquiries concerning code compliance, system troubleshooting, and other technical issues.
- Meetings: Attend project meetings to provide fire protection expertise and support.
- Risk Analysis: Assist the Lead Fire Protection Engineer with facility fire risk analysis and mitigation strategies.
- Policy Creation: Participate in the creation and implementation of fire protection policies and procedures.
- Training: Conduct training sessions on fire protection systems, codes, and safety practices.
- Compliance: Ensure all fire protection systems and practices comply with local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Degree in Fire Protection Engineering or Fire Protection Engineering Technology with 3-5 years of experience in industrial fire protection. An alternate engineering degree (e.g., Industrial or Mechanical Engineering) with documented experience in a fire protection engineering role is also acceptable.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in industrial fire protection engineering.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of fire protection codes and standards (e.g., NFPA), experience with fire protection systems, and proficiency in relevant software tools.

- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work.
