Electrical Panel Shop Supervisor (Direct Hire)
Location: Garner, NC
Pay: $26-32/HR
Shift: Monday through Thursday, 7AM to 5:30PM with OT available on Fridays
The Crew Lead will be responsible for supervising and overseeing a UL508a Industrial Control Panel Assembly shop. This role includes managing multiple panel technicians throughout the entire process of assembling custom industrial control panels, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and meet company standards. Responsibilities also include maintaining tool inventory, reviewing inventory movements related to jobs and tasks, training technicians on current and updated processes, and ensuring compliance with all safety standards. Additionally, the Crew Lead may assist with the assembly and testing of control panels when time or scheduling permits.
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in electronic/electrical circuitry and control panel assembly.
- 3 to 5 years of experience with electrical wiring systems and programming various types of controllers.
- Associate degree in electronic or electrical technology or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience in leadership
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the assembly and testing of Industrial Control Panels, ensuring accurate construction from schematic wiring diagrams and bills of material.
- Load software programs and test PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
- Utilize scheduling software and checklists to ensure timely completion and shipment of all jobs in the Panel Shop.
- Review schematics and bills of material to ensure error-free assembly by technicians.
- Oversee equipment wiring on the manufacturing floor, ensuring proper control panel installation and correct routing of conduit and wiring.
- Test, troubleshoot, and diagnose control panels and equipment before shipment.
- Process all job-related paperwork to ensure assignments are completed.
- Collaborate with purchasing and vendors to maintain inventory levels for parts and supplies in the Panel Shop.
- Continuously review and improve processes in the Panel Shop, identifying deficiencies and potential enhancements.
- Coordinate with project line managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure panels are built to exact specifications and standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
- Operate equipment such as Arc Flash Protective Equipment, computers, forklifts, scales, hand trucks, dollies, and other manufacturing tools.
