Position Overview
We are seeking a committed and detail-oriented Paralegal to support our attorneys in delivering exceptional legal services. The ideal candidate will engage in a variety of responsibilities, including document preparation, client interviews, legal research, and trial preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss active cases and projects.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and interrogatories, ensuring adherence to judicial procedures.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on statutes, regulations, legal articles, and judicial decisions, providing comprehensive written summaries to attorneys.
- Interview clients and witnesses and prepare concise summaries of their statements.
- Organize, maintain, and retrieve case files, including evidence, exhibits, depositions, and other relevant materials.
- Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including attending trials and hearings as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of billable hours linked to specific cases.
- Perform additional duties as required to support the firm, including:
- Organizing, maintaining, and updating physical and electronic files
- Scheduling meetings and managing calendars
- Preparing various letters
- Tracking tasks and follow-ups
- Assisting with accounting and billing
- Responding to phone inquiries
- Providing administrative document support (e.g., cover letters)
- Supporting other paralegals as needed
Required Skills and Abilities:

- Strong understanding of legal terminology, research methodologies, court pleadings, and processes.
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective time management skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, occasionally high-pressure environment.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound judgment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
Education and Experience:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
