Eastern Alloys, Inc., a foundry for zinc alloys since 1965, is currently seeking a full-time Plant Supervisor to join our team in Maybrook, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented person to join a fast-paced team in a casual environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Overseeing daily operations of metal casting facilities
- Managing personnel
- Ensuring safety protocols are enforced.
- Coordinating production schedules
- Maintaining quality control
- Assessing and overseeing furnace, production equipment & ladle repairs
- Monitoring performance of team
- Carrying out risk assessments and completing standard operating procedures
- Report delays and unplanned downtime to senior management.
- Assisting with production as necessary
- Ensuring hygiene, health, and safety regulations are observed by staff.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Oversees production operations on assigned shift.
- Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
- Ensures products are identified, weighed, and inventoried correctly.
- Troubleshoots production equipment and production related problems.
- Adequately complete and file required documents.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Ensure facility meets all regulatory requirements.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experienced in smelting or foundry environment, possess the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery.
- Excellent supervisory and leadership skills.

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Experienced in Team development.
- Willingness to work with and alongside of the Quality Department.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Lean Principles
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 Standards
- Minimum of 2 years forklift operation.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 25 - 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work directly on the shop floor for long periods of time.
- Ability to operate hand & power tools, including hoist, torches and grinders.
Compensation details: 29-36 Hourly Wage
