Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute upgrades, which involves conducting site assessments, updating applications on servers and proprietary devices/hardware, configuring system networks, and collaborating with the customer’s IT team to account for environmental variables affecting upgrades.
- Facilitate detailed technical discussions with internal teams and third-party partners to address complex integrations as required.
- Validate performance, quality, and reliability following upgrades.
- Engage in multi-functional teams to address and resolve complex issues.
- Contribute to teams focused on continuous process improvement.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field required, or a minimum of 4 years of equivalent experience in software and/or networking, along with two relevant certifications.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, as the role involves regular interaction with R&D, project managers, and customers.
- Knowledge in at least two of the following areas to meet business needs:
- SQL/Scripting/Reporting Engines/Analytics (e.g., SAS, Crystal Reports)
- Networking (e.g., TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, Security)
- Enterprise-level hardware (e.g., Server/Client OS, SANS, RAID)
- Middleware (e.g., Rhapsody)
- HL7
- Microsoft Windows
- Linux, Kubernetes
- Wireless - Enterprise level/managed networks
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA (or higher), CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Linux+, CompTIA ITF, CompTIA A+, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or LPI Linux Essentials.
- Advanced understanding of Microsoft Windows platforms, SQL, IIS server, and other networked systems.
- Proficient in deploying and supporting Linux-based platforms (e.g., Kubernetes) and associated networked systems.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols/architecture (e.g., TCP/IP, IP routing, OSI model, VLAN) and their security implications.
- Familiarity with common network protocols, client/server networking environments, managed switches, VOIP, and network security.
- Knowledge of Wi-Fi wireless technologies and security protocols.
- Basic understanding of VoIP and/or PBX telephony, including basic configuration experience.
- Experience with configuring, setting up, and troubleshooting Windows and Linux-based systems.
