The Shipping Manager is responsible for planning and coordinating supply chain initiatives to ensure the best service for our customers from NGP West. This individual will manage and develop the shipping team by implementing new strategies to meet targets and efficiently manage the supply chain flow of our product to the Western U.S. and Canada. The Shipping Manager will report to the Plant Manager and is located in Carson City, NV.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
Responsibilities:
· Review order form for product quantity and dimensions.
· Executes logistical strategy that delivers operational excellence, resulting in world-class customer service efficiency by using lean methodologies.
· Provide leadership and direction in areas of Finished Product, Raw Materials, and Physical Inventory.
· Develop and implement cost reduction and process improvement projects to support capital reduction initiatives.
· Monitors stock levels, quantity, delivery times, freight, efficiency.
· Drives team to successfully implement continuous improvement strategies. Understands the importance of getting buy-in from team.
· Works collaboratively with planning, customer service, and production to achieve high customer success rate.
Requirements and Qualifications:
· 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain (manufacturing preferred)
· 2+ years of experience leadership
· Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field (preferred)
· Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles (Kaizen, six sigma etc).
· Strong analytical capabilities including data analysis, understanding of department’s significance to company cost initiatives.
· Continuous improvement mind-set with ability to teach and lead others.
· Collaborative approach to team and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to meet
