Essential Job Functions:
- Assists the General Manager in hiring, training, coaching and supervising dinner service staff. Works on the floor in the restaurant, assisting the service team, maintaining restaurant cleanliness, and engaging with dinner guests to ensure their experience is exceptional.
- Expectations of the Assistant Manager are to learn the restaurant service model of a front/back waiter system, and ensure guest satisfaction
- Must have explicit knowledge of the dinner menu and multi-course meal execution, hold staff accountable to the high service standards, and work as a liaison between the dining room staff and kitchen.
- Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to completing daily financial reports and records, preparing daily tip disbursements, scheduling, ordering products and equipment, payroll, inventory, and keeping daily manager logs.
- Responsible for all forms of cash handling throughout restaurant including register drawers, safe, deposits, and change orders and daily closing duties.
- Outlets: Mid Vail, Eagle's Nest, Game Creek, and Wildwood.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School diploma required.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
- At least 4 years previous restaurant experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years of restaurant supervisory or managerial experience of a staff of 10-15 people.
- Must have 1-2 years of fine dine experience as well as working knowledge of wine and beverage service.
- Must have demonstrated leadership, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
- Must be knowledgeable of proper food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Must have or obtain valid TIPS certification upon employment (will provide training).
- Will be handling alcohol, and must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Must be available to work holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, December 26th through January 2nd, Presidents' Day Weekend, and any other holidays as requested.
Preferred Skills:
- Conversational Spanish preferred.
The expected pay range is $55,000 - $60,000. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
