TITLE: Infrastructure Engineer
LOCATION: Surprise, AZ (Waddell) (100% on-site)
ANTICIPATED DURATION: 12 months
The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for maintaining the operation of our client’s distribution facility located in Waddell, Arizona. The primary mission of this role is to act as the key liaison between the IT Infrastructure team and local business stakeholders to support warehouse operations. As a member of the IT Infrastructure team, the Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the advocation and Installation of IT solutions, contribute to global standards, and support the overall day-to-day operations of the business.
- Infrastructure Engineer Responsibilities:
- Support the IT Infrastructure and the operation of the warehouse.
- Act as an escalation point for operations partners, service desk, and other members of the IT Infrastructure team.
- Be the primary on-site point of contact for business operations including on-call support as needed.
- Translate the needs of the business into solutions while meeting budgetary and timeline requirements.
- Responsible for lifecycle management and capacity planning.
- Ensure all documentation and monitoring tools are up to date.
- Manage projects in close collaboration with our project management, network operations partners, and network service owner teams.
- The candidate needs to possess the ability to be a self-starter and work independently, identify opportunities for improvement, lead the initiative, and execute.
- Infrastructure Engineer Requirements:3 - 5 years of hands-on experience supporting IT Infrastructure
- Understand enterprise-level network and collaboration concepts.
- Working knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, VoIP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
- Working knowledge of systems such as storage, virtualization, file systems, etc.
- Working knowledge of low voltage/structured cabling technologies and concepts
- Excellent documentation and project management skills
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems (or related field), or equivalent work experience.
- Travel: Approx. 5%
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $38 to $42 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
