Position Overview:
In this position, you will serve as the bridge between the Securitas IT teamand our employees, ensuring that their technology needs are met, and any issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
Successful candidates will ensure the success of our business operations, as we rely heavily on technology to ensure productivity and meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a background in IT, and a customer-centric approach to problem-solving.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all technology-related inquiries and issues from employees
- Provide high-quality technical support to executives and other senior staff, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Communicate complex technical information in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical users.
- Collaborate with external IT teams to resolve any issues identified by employees
- Ensuring new hires have the necessary technical assistance to set up their hardware and software
- Escalating unresolved issues or complex problems to higher-level support tiers when necessary
- Providing basic troubleshooting and guidance
- Basic project management for infrastructure related plans and timelines
- Procurement, inventory management and regular auditing of all infrastructure equipment and accounts
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a related role
- Solid understanding of various technologies, including hardware, software, and networking
- Strong customer service skills and proactive, customer-focused attitude.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with employees and external teams
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must have experience working with basic office equipment (copier, scanner, fax, printer)
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office 365 platform
- Exceptional oral and written communications skills
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify
- Must have reliable transportation to/from work
- Willing and able to participate with negative results at all times in a drug test (either pre-employment or random).
Education/Experience/License Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) and Outlook
