Job Description: Full Stack Engineer (Back-End Focus)
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with over 5 years of professional experience, with a 60/40 focus on back-end development. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with Java, TypeScript, and SQL, and will possess a strong background in modern web application development frameworks and agile methodologies.
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
- 5+ years as a Software Engineer - 60/40 leaning back-end.
- Java
- SQL
- Front end - Angular or React framework, but programming in JavaScript and using Spring Boot
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain web applications using Java, TypeScript, SQL, JPA, and Spring Boot.
- Utilize front-end frameworks such as Angular or React, along with JavaScript, to enhance application functionality.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs with a focus on object-oriented programming and software architecture.
- Work with API/microservice and event-driven architecture; experience with ActiveMQ or Apache Kafka is a plus.
- Manage API Gateway solutions; experience with Gravitee API Gateway is a plus.
- Utilize expertise in RDBMS, particularly Oracle and PostgreSQL, for data management and storage solutions.
- Operate within Agile Scrum methodology, collaborating effectively in fast-paced environments.
- Deploy and manage applications using Tomcat, Maven, JIRA, Confluence, Git, and Bitbucket.
- Leverage UNIX/Linux commands and scripting languages (such as Shell or Python) for automation and task management.
- Employ DevOps/DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of software methodologies, distributed networking, databases, communications, and multiprocessing applications.
- Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams, adapting to changing priorities and ensuring alignment with technical standards, principles, and best practices.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years as a Software Engineer with a back-end focus.
- Proficiency in Java, SQL, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (Angular or React).
- Strong experience with RESTful API development, object-oriented design, and microservice architecture.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of RDBMS products, UNIX/Linux, and scripting languages.
- Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.
