We offer a $10,000 sign on bonus
We also offer up to $5,000 in relocation reimbursement
Under indirect supervision, the Pediatric Ultrasound Technologist I provides high quality sonograms for interpretation and diagnosis by a Pediatric Radiologist, adhering to all quality and patient safety standards, as well as standards for professional behavior, as defined by the organization.
This position requires independent, efficient performance of high-level pediatric general ultrasound, extremity vascular, neonatal, interventional and perioperative support, as required, in the pediatric hospital, procedural, and outpatient environment. This is a full time night shift position, Friday-Sunday, 7pm-730am.
Essential job functions include:
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and all hospital and community caregivers.
- Management of patient priority.
- Interdepartmental teamwork for patient care coordination in hospital and procedural setting
- Timely preparation and communication of preliminary reports.
- Demonstrated competency in all aspects of RIS and PACS as it pertains to modality specific functions and use.
- Adherence to all department policies, procedures, and protocols.
Additional Job Description
Minimum Training and Education:
Graduation from an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
Two to three years experience performing dedicated pediatric ultrasound required
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations:
Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from am American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
