Job Description
As an Opto-Mechanical Engineer at KLA, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development of cutting-edge EBEAM tools. You will lead the design and development of complex opto-mechanical subsystems, ensuring their precision, reliability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Development: You will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex e-beam opto-mechanical subsystems, including precision mechanical components and subsystems.
- Collaboration: You will work closely with suppliers worldwide to develop reliable solutions for KLA's next generation e-beam tools.
- Requirement Specification: You will understand and drive system and subsystem requirement specifications.
- Design Review: You will lead concept and detailed designs, including design reviews.
- Material and Component Selection: You will guide the selection of materials and components for optical and opto-mechanical systems, precision drives, and actuators.
- Feasibility Studies and Proof of Concepts: You will propose feasibility studies and proof of concepts.
- Testing: You will drive the definition of test criteria and build test plans for functional prototypes.
- Release Process: You will guide the release process according to KLA's standard processes.
- System-Level Discussions: You will work with multi-functional groups and lead system-level discussions, including the impact on overall system performance.
- Problem Solving: You will lead problem-solving activities at the subsystem and system levels.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in opto-mechanical design and development, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
- Strong understanding of optical principles, mechanical design, and opto-mechanical systems.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and projects.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
