Job Description
Under close supervision of manager provides technical assistance to customers cross referencing and identifying seals. Makes recommendations based on application and equipment requirements. Supports staff and operations in the management of vendor quality and resolution of quality complaints. Supports LEAN process and continual improvement of operations and products. Technical drawings provided as needed. Product structure and purchasing supported. Databases developed and managed as required for sales and operational support. Marketing provided with technical product support as needed. Seeking an early career Engineer looking for a great career opportunity to grow with a Global company.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Determine the proper application of such technologies and determine material to be used in the application and make necessary engineering calculations utilizing software.
- Analyze assembly design and component part design, analyze drawings, sketches and specifications required to engineer or modify existing company products.
- Evaluate customer requirements, research the necessary data, and determine cost effective materials of construction.
- Communicate orally and in writing with customers, sales and company personnel and vendors providing counseling, recommendations, and technical assistance.
- Meet with customers in plant or at customer’s site to discuss, analyze and resolve field problems.
- Analyze, evaluate, and rectify failures internally and externally.
- Prepare material and other relevant product specifications for internal and external use.
- Analyze, evaluate, and rectify equipment failures, determining root cause for corrective action.
- Analyze designs and component part designs, making recommendations for changes to the customer.
- Review process and manage customer purchase orders from entry to shipment.
- Additional duties and responsibilities will vary based upon departmental needs.
The Individual
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required, ME preferred.
- Experience within the Oil & Gas Industry preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, changing priorities and reassign priorities to complete assignments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in a diverse environment is a plus.
