Jessie Trice Community Health System is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individuals to join our dental team as a Dental Customer Service Representative. CSR, will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support. Motivated individual will be responsible to perform and ensure the accuracy of registering all dental patients, including, obtaining documentation necessary to establish insurance eligibility. Perform appointment scheduling, a variety of clerical and reception duties for the patient care area, according to practice, routine or established protocol. Collect, count and tally daily cash receipts. Generate / post encounters and post pending charges daily.
Manage telephone calls professionally, efficiently and with good communication skills; greeting customers in a courteous, efficient and timely manner and respond to questions/ complaints and concerns immediately thereby reaching a satisfactory resolution.
DETAILS OF EDUCATION AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
High school or equivalent plus a minimum of two years’ experience in a Dental Office Practice setting, checking in and discharging patients, making dental appointment, obtaining insurance verification and pre-authorization. Utilizing website portal and excellent knowledge of Current Dental Terminology (CDT ) codes.
Effectively process prior authorization requests timely, efficiently and ensuring proper documentation is included for review.
Verify and comply with payer contractual authorization requirements.
Forward dental charting and required information to insurance carriers for pre-authorization or referral.
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in navigating EMR (preferably EPIC) systems.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (E.G. ABLITY TO SPEAK FOREIGN LANGUAGE, LICENSE, ETC.)
Successful completion of the American Dental Association CPT Coding Course prior to hire or within the first 3- 6mos of hire.
Bilingual- English / Spanish or English / Creole is a plus
