Our Geospatial Intelligence team provides skills and capabilities to task, order, receive, process, disseminate, and exploit national, tactical, and commercial Intelligence within an integrated architecture in support of Geospatial Intelligence users. We support and enable the production of intelligence and situational awareness for national and warfighter security, targeting, command and control, and humanitarian aid. Our capabilities include requirements and mission workflow analysis for sensor platforms and ground systems, specialized computing platforms, architecture design and integration of data and systems in support of exploitation processes, advanced analytics, and integrated intelligence analysis from seabed to space.
Roles & Responsibilities:
The Intelligence, Surveillance, & Reconnaissance (ISR) Processing department is seeking candidates to assist our sponsor with multi-cloud and high-performance computing (HPC) efforts. Tasks will include leveraging cloud computing and in house data center technologies focused on providing HPC and AI/ML pipelines for Geospatial information processing infrastructure for the Enterprise. Candidates will aid the integration of geospatial data sources into IT infrastructure and cloud capabilities provided as services to users. This position requires the ability to work with a team to create innovative solutions with minimal requirements. The successful candidate will focus on prototyping geospatial capabilities and developing requirements and recommendations for integrated solutions to maximize MITRE's impact to our Sponsor's mission.
Key Functions:
Cloud HPC-specific and Edge technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure, IBM, Oracle, GCP)
HPC technology (e.g. HPE Cray, Apollo, NVIDIA DGX, SLURM)
High Performance Computing environment design, operation, and management
Data processing/augmentation, backpropagation, hyperparameter tuning, semantic segmentation
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
Active Top Secret Clearance with current SCI
Foundation in System Engineering principals and experience and applying that knowledge to real world solutions
Knowledge of GEOINT products, analytics, and services as well as GEOINT satellite systems, processing, exploitation, and dissemination systems
Knowledge of NGA supported missions
Experience with digital engineering (DE) and/or model-based systems engineering and applying DE to complex space and ground systems
Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate across multiple teams working on large and diverse projects
Desire to learn and be part of a fast-paced and complex technical effort
Ability to develop creative approaches to address tough government challenges
Superior customer engagement and communication skills to be able to work seamlessly across MITRE, government, and contractor teams
This position requires an on-site presence of 5 days a week.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with NGA, NGA's Mission and or the IT employed to enable that Mission
Understanding of Intelligence Community Agencies and systems
Comfortable working with a high-level government sponsor
Must be able to actively engage and help government make value assertions.
Creating test plan and assessing results for pilot initiatives
Style-transfer learning, unsupervised learning, training sets, inference model
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
