A prestigious nationwide law firm is seeking a dynamic IP Litigation Legal Assistant to join their Intellectual Property department in the Chicago office. This hybrid role is vital in supporting attorneys with travel coordination, scheduling, and various administrative tasks. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and tables of contents/authorities.
- Manage case-related communication, scheduling, and coordination with courts, clients, and legal professionals.
- Assist with discovery, deposition, and trial preparation, including document production and tracking.
- Utilize e-filing procedures, manage client files, and maintain attorney calendars and billable time entries.
- Provide proactive support within the practice group, stay updated on firm systems, and perform additional duties as needed, including occasional overtime.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Highschool degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
- MUST have at least 5 years of IP litigation experience with strong state and federal filing experience
- Manage multiple priorities effectively and work well with others.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), TOC, TOA, Styles, and PDF software.
- Experience with InTapp Time, Intapp Open, Chrome River, Aderant, Interaction, and iManage preferred, but not required.
- Maintain a strong customer service attitude.
COMPENSATION:
Up to $100,000 depending on experience.
