SkyBridge Luxury & Associates is proud to partner with a leading hotel management company in South Carolina, which oversees a diverse and expansive portfolio of 50+ hotels, in the search for an accomplished Vice President of Human Resources.
**Position Overview:**
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Human Resources (VP of HR) to lead our HR department and provide oversight across all properties managed by our hotel management company in South Carolina. The VP of HR will be responsible for guiding and managing the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for the entire organization. This is a strategic position that will support our growth by ensuring we attract, develop, and retain top talent across our extensive portfolio of 50+ hotels.
**Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy, encompassing both the home office and our managed properties.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues across all levels and locations.
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital across the portfolio.
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance across all properties.
- Ensure compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
- Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management, adhering to federal, state, and local laws in all locations where our properties operate.
- Manage the HR department's budget.
- Oversee and direct the work of the HR department, including the Corporate Director of Human Resources, Corporate Human Resource Manager, Corporate Recruiting Manager, and Corporate Payroll & Benefits Administrator.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven working experience as a VP of HR or similar role, ideally in a multi-property hotel or hospitality context.
- Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics.
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
- Degree in Human Resources or related field; advanced degree preferred.
