If yes, then bring your talent and skills to F.E. Moran! We have an exciting opportunity for a BIM Coordinator toour join our team in Northbrook, Illinois. The BIM Coordinator is responsible for preparing the BIM project, setting the BIM protocol, populating and coordinating BIM models and ensuring proper communication with all project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. You will be heavily involved in the day-to-day evolution of Plumbing projects, from start up through the punch list and record drawing phase. Working on a variety of large, complex projects; this is an exciting opportunity for you to develop and expand upon your skills, while contributing in a team focused environment!
You Are:
- EDUCATED: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management/science, building information modeling (BIM) or similar relevant field or equivalent working experience
- EXPERIENCED: Previous experience coordinating Plumbing systems and 3D modeling with Autodesk software, including Revit, AutoCAD Fabrication, and Navisworks
- KNOWLEDGEABLE: Industry knowledge with understanding of BIM and mechanical systems
- SKILLED: Mathematical aptitude with ability to read and understand architectural and engineering plans, construction contract documentation, structural and mechanical drawings, and process and instrumentation diagrams
- METICULOUS: Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with high attention to detail, thoroughness, and accuracy
- PASSIONATE: Continuous learner, invested in finding the best solution; you see projects through to fruition; your work truly matters to you
What You’ll Do:
- ORGANIZE: Coordinate 3D models of assigned systems, analyzing for detection of conflicts with other building systems and structures
- LAYOUT: Produce preliminary models and designs from engineering drawing designs, working closely with engineering and modeling staff
- PREPARE: Illustrate shop drawings and point layouts for field installation and prefabrication
- COLLABORATE: Partner with project team members to provide support to engineers, project managers, and field and shop employees during the design, installation, and prefabrication activities of assigned systems
- COMMUNICATE: Interact with team members to understand project requirements, goals, design specifications, and operational environments
