Job Brief
The Calibration Technician is responsible for making sure that instruments, gauges, and testing devices are calibrated correctly and give accurate readings.
The position will primarily work during normal business hours of 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, but may require occasional off-hours and weekend work, and travel.
The goal of the Calibration Technician is to maintain, test, and repair a variety of instrumentation and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Calibrating, inspecting, measuring, and testing equipment in order to ensure compliance with specifications
- Executing calibration procedures and methods according to detailed specifications and technical requirements
- Analyzing and interpreting data and other information in order to complete calibration procedures
- Troubleshooting, installing, and repairing mechanical components
- Supporting and maintaining the rental and demo equipment inventory
- Supporting the rental equipment process
- Quoting service/calibration to customers
- Shipping products back to customers
- Invoicing completed shipments
Requirements
- Previous technical experience and/or related degree preferred
- Knowledge of measurement principles: measurement uncertainty, measurement traceability, measurement standards, test uncertainty, calibration intervals, and out-of-tolerance reporting
- Familiar with these regulations: FDA 21 CFR Part 820 and 210, ISO 13485, and ISO 17025
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
