Position Summary:
The Scrum Master - Tech Project Manager is responsible for facilitating Agile practices within the development team while simultaneously managing technical projects to ensure successful and timely delivery. This role involves leading Agile ceremonies, coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, and removing impediments to enhance team productivity and performance.
Essential Duties:
Agile Facilitation:
- Lead and facilitate daily Scrum processes, planning, and agile practices cross functionally throughout the CALI organization.
- Collect and report Agile metrics using them to guide continuous improvement
- Ensure Agile ceremonies are effectively organized and conducted.
- Leverages Agile expertise to develop and implement program guidance, templates, and tools
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and team empowerment in a fast paced organization with unique industry solutions.
Project Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee multiple technical projects from initiation through completion.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, deliverables, and milestones ensuring they are on time, within scope and within budget.
- Collaborates with project team to create and maintain program & project documentation based on documentation and requirements supplied.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with product owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define project requirements, priorities, deadlines, and performance.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and management.
- Ensure alignment between technical teams and business objectives with the ability to collaborate and solve problems with multiple teams.
- Coach and mentor team members on agile principles, best practices and methodologies of the organization.
Impediment Removal:
- Identify and remove obstacles that hinder team progress and productivity.
- Address and resolve conflicts and project issues within the team and with external parties.
- Facilitate decision-making and problem-solving processes.
Technical Oversight:
- Understand the technical aspects of projects and provide guidance on technical solutions.
- Collaborate with architects and developers to ensure technical alignment and feasibility.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies and industry solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to be able to influence project team without direct authority.
- Proficiency in Agile tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Confluence).
- Technical background or experience in software development, engineering, or IT.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience with Software release concepts and best practices
- Broad experiences in project and program types such as business transformation/reengineering, custom development, conversions, packaged solution implementations, infrastructure, IT transformations
- Broad experiences with project execution methodologies such as agile, waterfall, iterative, packaged solutions selections and implementations, organizational change management, reengineering and process redesign
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Work will be performed on laptop/computer primarily in an office environment. Some travel may be required. The position will require long hours on a computer keyboard and monitor with prolonged periods of standing and/or walking and/or sitting.
