The Manufacturing Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain processes within the manufacturing environment. This role not only involves managing procurement, inventory control, logistics, and distribution but also plays a key role in managing and developing the supply chain team. The Supply Chain Manager will collaborate closely with various departments, including Production, Quality, Engineering, and Finance, to align supply chain activities with overall business objectives, while also ensuring effective team management and leadership.

Team Management & Development
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
- Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching
- Facilitate training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and capabilities
Supply Chain Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the company’s manufacturing goals and objectives
- Forecast demand, plan production schedules, and manage inventory levels to meet customer requirements while minimizing costs
- Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, including supplier disruptions, transportation delays, and inventory shortage
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Manage the sourcing and procurement of raw materials and components
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, pricing, and delivery terms
- Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards and timely delivery
Inventory Management
- Implement inventory management strategies to maintain accurate inventory levels, reduce waste, and improve turnover
- Monitor and analyze inventory data
Logistics & Distribution
- Manage logistics operations, inbound transportation, and warehousing
- Ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation of materials and products, optimizing routes and carrier selection
- Oversee warehousing operations, ensuring proper storage, handling, and inventory accuracy
Process Improvement & Efficiency
- Identify opportunities to streamline supply chain processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency
- Implement best practices in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
- Manage cross-functional teams in projects aimed at improving supply chain performance
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies related to supply chain operations
- Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance, including key metrics such as lead times, inventory levels, and cost savings
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in supply chain management
Qualifications
- Solid experience in leading and managing teams within a supply chain or manufacturing settin
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing
- Professional certifications such as APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) are a plus
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
