Roles and Responsibilities:
The Quality Control Laboratory Technician primarily provides laboratory support to QC Chemists. They have delegated the regular tasks of Quality Control operations to ensure proper schedule adherence and laboratory upkeep. They may be involved in direct testing of both raw materials and finished products, as instructed, and directed by superiors, responsible for laboratory cleanliness, organization, and supply management, as well as providing a supporting role for smooth operations of the QC laboratory.
Duties:
1. Follow SOPs, safety protocols, GMPs, and GLP.
2. Assist on generating laboratory test methods.
3. Evaluate all chemical & physical properties required for in-process, bulk and finished products.
4. Release and approve in-process, bulk and finished products.
5. Issue the status labels to the products (White, Yellow, Orange, and Red).
6. Investigate and report OOS to QC lead or Supervisor.
7. Maintain proficiency in all laboratory processes and procedures.
8. Generate and submit product preliminary Certificate of Analysis (CoAs).
9. Perform daily and/or monthly calibration of analytical instrumentation.
10. Perform preventive maintenance of instruments or equipment.
11. Create and maintain valid Master Reference Standard.
12. Assist on checking sanitizing solution as needed.
13. Work under the direct guidance of the QC Lab Lead and/or QC Lab Supervisor.
14. Maintain supply inventory.
15. Maintain record for any requisition, packaging and CoAs as needed.
16. Manage daily product retains.
17. Maintain cleanliness and laboratory housekeeping.
18. Attend, participate, and provide information to teams in Production / Quality meetings.
19. Generate and send CoAs to customers as needed.
20. Assist in all necessary documentation and recordkeeping functions.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or associate degree in related science and/or work experience in a laboratory setting.

Work Environment:
The Quality Control Laboratory Technician is designated to work primarily in the laboratory area of operations. The work environment can be fast paced, with constant changes and interruptions. The work requires sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate computer keyboard and office equipment. Laboratory operations require dexterity and care to perform studies as required. Additionally, the work will require walking, climbing stairs, bending and occasional lifting of material up to fifty (50) pounds. The performance of this position will present exposure to an industrial environment and requires support and compliance with the published Company PPE policy including but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, appropriate attire, safety shoes, etc. It may also involve exposure to hot and cold temperatures, noise, limited dust, and chemicals and require adherence to safety regulations operations. Quality Control Laboratory Technician may need to work long hours to meet deadlines and resolve issues.
