Our client is seeking an experienced Functional JD Edwards Finance Business Analyst to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1) with expertise in finance modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting. This role will focus on analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and implementing solutions to improve financial operations and support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and analyze financial processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend best practices utilizing JD Edwards Finance modules.
- Work closely with finance teams to gather detailed requirements and translate business needs into functional specifications for JD Edwards implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Configure and customize JD Edwards Finance modules to meet business requirements, including setup, testing, and deployment of solutions within the ERP environment.
- Provide ongoing support for JD Edwards Finance modules, troubleshooting issues, and delivering timely resolutions to ensure smooth system operations.
- Develop and support financial reporting solutions using JD Edwards tools and other reporting platforms, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial data.
- Create user training materials and conduct training sessions for finance and accounting staff to maximize the effectiveness of JD Edwards functionality. Develop and maintain system documentation, including process flows and functional specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure successful delivery of JD Edwards projects, including upgrades, implementations, and system enhancements, while maintaining alignment with business timelines and goals.
- Work closely with IT, finance, and other business units to ensure that JD Edwards Finance solutions integrate effectively with other modules (e.g., Procurement, Supply Chain) and systems (e.g., external reporting tools).
- Ensure JD Edwards finance processes and configurations comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, including SOX and other financial regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a JD Edwards Business Analyst or Functional Consultant, with a focus on Finance modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Technology, or a related field. Professional certifications in JD Edwards, accounting, or project management (e.g., CPA, PMP) are desirable.
- In-depth functional knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Finance modules, including configuration, customization, and best practices for implementation and support.
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, processes, and reporting requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address issues, propose solutions, and drive process improvements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with finance teams, IT professionals, and business stakeholders.
- Familiarity with JD Edwards integration points and the ability to work with technical teams on data interfaces, reporting, and custom development.
- Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships, gathering requirements, and ensuring business needs are met.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with JD Edwards upgrades, cloud migrations, and system integration projects.
- Knowledge of financial compliance regulations such as SOX and IFRS.
- Experience working in manufacturing, distribution, or other complex industries.
- Familiarity with complementary ERP systems, tools, or financial reporting platforms.
