Dietary Supplement Technical Project Manager:
Position Overview:
In this blended role, my client in the dietary supplement space is looking for a project manager with customer service responsibilities, requiring a strong background in product formulation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage projects from development through production.
Objectives and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with internal and external customers, including R&D, production, quality assurance, and sales to ensure project timelines and goals are met.
- Direct and execute benchtop experiments, generating samples for new product development.
- Conduct comprehensive research on emerging technologies, conceptualize innovative ideas, and present findings.
- Maintain a well-organized and hygienic laboratory environment.
- Oversee the formulation of capsules and powders, ensuring products meet customer specifications, label, and industry standards.
- Spearhead the development and implementation of the R&D strategy for the company.
- Devise new procedures to enhance product quality while optimizing cost efficiency.
- Direct contact with customers during development and through commercial runs.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing required PPE and following safe practices.
- Facilitate cross-training initiatives throughout the facility.
- Provide technical support to production, ensuring adherence to standard procedures.
- Prepare and maintain materials and equipment throughout the production process.
Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in a Sales or R&D role, preferably within the dietary supplement manufacturing sector.
- Proficiency in Label Review, Formulation, HACCP, Food Defense, and Root Cause Analysis preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
