Commercial Litigation Associate Role:
The Commercial Litigation Associate will take on significant responsibilities in managing a diverse array of litigation matters. Associates will work closely with our Partners on cases involving business disputes, financial institutions, labor and employment issues, and product liability claims.
Drafting and Document Management:
Oversee and prepare the drafting of critical legal documents, including pleadings, motions, notices, and written discovery.
Ensure all documents are accurate, thorough, and timely to support case objectives.
Fact Investigation and Case Preparation:
Conduct detailed fact investigations and inspections to gather evidence and develop case strategies.
Collaborate with team members to build comprehensive case files and prepare for hearings and trials.
Case Participation:
Actively participate in case conferences, depositions, hearings, trials, mediations, and arbitrations.
Provide insights and contribute to case strategy discussions to advance client interests.
Team and Firm Collaboration:
Engage in firm-wide meetings, offering updates on case dockets, personnel matters, and other relevant issues.
Represent the firm at sponsored firm events and business conferences, enhancing the firm’s profile and network.
Client and Case Management:
Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and addressing their concerns.
Manage multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring that all deadlines and client expectations are met.
Commercial Litigation Associate Background Profile:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation, with a strong background in handling business, financial institution, labor, employment, and product liability cases.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a high volume of work efficiently.
Excellent time management skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Positive attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving and case management.
Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and a readiness to take on new responsibilities and challenges.
