O’Hagan Meyer PLLC is seeking a Labor & Employment Litigation Associate with 6-10 years of experience to join its Orange County, CA office. This attorney will have significant experience handling all aspects of sophisticated litigation, including drafting pleadings, substantive motions and written discovery, developing litigation strategy, preparing for trial or arbitration, working directly with clients and second-chairing trials, depositions and/or evidentiary hearings.
The ideal candidate will also have experience representing employers on both a class and individual basis with respect to wage and hour compliance, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, leaves of absence, employee accommodations, personnel policies, and employment agreements, along with other labor and employment issues.

Additional Job Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have labor and employment litigation experience however, general civil litigation experience is also welcome. Experience defending employers against claims in individual and class actions (e.g., discrimination, harassment, retaliation, failure to pay wages or benefits, breach of contract, wrongful termination, negligent hiring or retention, defamation) is a plus.
- Excellent writing and analytical skills. Ability to draft persuasive, clear and effective pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, memoranda, mediation statements, orders and settlement agreements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have the confidence and demeanor to build relationships with the Firm’s current clients, as well as the drive and ability to develop additional client relationships and business.
- Strong organizational and time management skills. The ideal candidate will be able to efficiently manage multiple matters at a time and produce exceptional work product under tight deadlines.
- The ideal candidate will have the ability to work as part of a team, but also possess the experience, skills and confidence to step into a leadership role.
- A drive for excellence and a willingness to take the initiative to solve problems. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious and highly motivated attorney who always strives to achieve the best possible result for the client.
- Detail-oriented and thorough. This attorney must demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in every aspect of their practice.
- The billing requirement is 1,900 hours per year. Annual bonuses are given for hours billed in excess of this minimum requirement.
