Responsible for labeling, inspecting and packaging of final container products with manual and/or automated packaging systems from distribution center to customer or clinical trial sites. This position contributes to and supports the company's research and development efforts to create high value therapeutics to address unmet medical needs.
- Works on assignments that are semi routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
- Weighs, measures and checks packaging components and final product to ensure batches manufactured are packaged in specified quantities.
- Aides in validating processes and equipment that are directly related to packaging and cleaning.
- Responsible for cleaning equipment and facilities used for packaging.
- Set-up, change-over and operate labeling and packaging equipment.
- Responsible for data entry and imprinting computer-generated labels.
- Maintains records and manufacturing/production area to comply with regulatory requirements, current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs) and standard operating procedures.
- Performs initial check of completed documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Works on projects that are semi-routine in nature. Normally follows established procedures with little oversight.
- Exercises judgment in resolving problems and making some routine recommendations.
- Provides Lab Support for manufacturing suites such as sampling materials and logging them in for analysis.
- Learns to run equipment by reading and understanding SOPs.
- Supports processing and packaging by adhering to SOPs.
- May provide technical training to others.
- Supports investigations, completes batch record review, inputs Statistical Process Control (SPC) data, completes batch record reconciliations as needed and revises SOPs in EDMS system.
- Troubleshoots and offers ideas for improvements.
- Adheres to safety procedures.
- Interacts with other departments to share information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Requires a minimum of a High School diploma. Equivalent experience may be accepted.
- A minimum of 2 years industry experience is required.
- A minimum of 1 year warehouse or manufacturing experience is required.
- Experience working in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry is a plus
- Experience with Safety procedures.
- Solid written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience operating manufacturing or laboratory equipment is required.
- Strong Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, ability to perform routine adjustments on standard packaging equipment is required.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint are required.
- Must be able to perform basic math skills (multiplication, division, ratios, and percentages).
- Must be familiar with the metric system and conversion methods.
- Ability to multi-task, work in an organized manner, and possess trouble-shooting skills.
